“New approaches to sample identification tracking and technologies for maintaining the quality of stored samples” article in DDW by Dr J.Comley

Drug Discovery World magazine has published this July 2017 an article titled “New approaches to sample identification tracking and technologies for maintaining the quality of stored samples” written by Dr John Comley; an independent market research consultant and Managing Director of HTStec.

The article comments on a recent survey put by HTStec about current sample management practice and state of the art tracking technologies in the life sciences space. The main conclusions are that the industry is not using enough quality assurance practices to maximise sample integrity. However, innovative MEMSbased technologies such as Bluechiip has the potential to meet user needs and stratify samples into fit for purpose categories.
